Anonymous asked: sorry if this is too personal, but what's the most you've ever weighed? why can't you gain weight?

The most I’ve ever weighed is 107. That didn’t last very long. Two weeks after that weigh in at the doctor’s office, I was down to 104/105 land.

WELL at around 4 years old, I developed a really bad case of asthma + pneumonia. After lots of inhaled/oral steroids for my asthma and antibiotics and steroids for the pneumonia, I was more or less stripped of a lot of my natural baby/toddler pudginess. After I was off the regular use of steroids, I was on respiratory nebulizer therapy for a large majority of my childhood; kindergarten to sixth grade. My asthma has fortunately improved a lot since my childhood, but all the medication I had to take for it, and for such an extended period of time, has pretty much wrecked all my genetic chances of me developing a body past the “awkward 13 y/o phase.”

I just also want to bitterly throw out there. My pediatrician told my mom that with my rate of growth, I was charted to be anywhere from 5’7-5’9. But side effects of steroids: THEY FORKING STUNT YOUR GROWTH :| that’s really the only thing I’m really really upset about from this whole asthma ordeal, haha. could’ve been tall.
